Creative Disco Dance Party {Boys Birthday}
Are you ready to DANCE!? Emily of Smarty Parties brought out the disco balls and styled a dessert table full of clever named snacks at Dean’s Creative Disco Dance Party! Celebrating her son’s 2nd birthday with a splash of silver & dance inspired food, it looks like Emily had all the right moves! (P.S. How cute are those “Cha Cha Chips & Salsa”!!)
PARTY HIGHLIGHTS, to look out for:
- Microphone Cake Pops and Disco Ball Cupcakes
- Silver Mylar Fringe Backdrop and Decoration + Holographic Confetti
- Drumstick Pretzels, Cha Cha Chips & Salsa and Limbo Lemonade
- Disco Dip & Veggies, Footloose Fruit & Tango Tea
PARTY DETAILS, as told by Emily…
Like most toddlers, my son Dean loooooves to dance. Any time he hears a music, he has to bust a move. We figured it only made sense to give him a dance party for his second birthday celebration! We kept everything pretty simple–I set everything up in front of our garage door, using fringe garland and a foamcore backdrop. I decorated with disco ball Christmas ornaments and confetti.
For refreshments, we had disco ball cupcakes, microphone cake pops, “cha cha chips” and salsa, veggies with “disco dip,” pretzel “drumsticks,” and “footloose” fruit, with “limbo lemonade” and “tango tea.”
For activities, we stayed with the simple theme, pulling our old big screen TV out of the basement and hooking up the Wii so the kids (and the adults!) could play Just Dance! and Glee Karaoke. Favors were echo microphones from the Target dollar zone.

I love how the food furthers the theme – like the pretzel ‘drumsticks’ and footloose fruit salad!
Thank you so much for featuring Dean’s party!
Love this theme! And how everything is so sparkly and elegant.. My Favorite thing would be the microphone cake pops! I Don’t know how you did it, but they look amazing!
