Cricut Crafts: Winter Forest Candles
Animals seem to find their way into the majority of my creative projects… and these DIY forest-inspired holiday candles are no exception! 😉
This Winter Forest Animal Candles Trio is the 2nd project I created for Cricut Design Space this season. They coordinate with my HWTM Flannel and Frost materials that are available at JOANN stores and on joann.com right now!
I used my Wild Rose Cricut Explore Air 2 and the Flannel and Frost Vinyl Sampler for this project. Of course, you can use your own favorite patterns and colors to customize this project however you like. 💛
Candles + Creativity
To make this set, I bought inexpensive candles from a discount store and removed the labels. These candles have a frosted finish, which felt like it fit well with the wintery vibe. ☃️ Look for candles with lids so that you can customize the top of them, too! I added a bit of patterned vinyl to these lids and it really made them pop.

These individual candles make great holiday gifts for loved ones… or yourself. 😉
A couple work-in-progress shots…
The abstract animal pattern definitely took me the longest to finish out of the entire Flannel and Frost materials line, so I was particularly excited to put it to use! You can see it on the lid here:
Making Project Adjustments
When you pull the project up in Design Space, all 3 designs will load. If you only want to make one or 2 of them, simply delete whatever you don’t need. You can also repeat a design if you want to cut multiple copies of it at once! Design Space will automatically adjust to cut what you need. 🙌
You can also change the colors of elements to use more or fewer materials. These designs would even look great in a single color. I love having the pops of pattern and metallic though!
Happy holiday crafting! 😊❤️💚🖤

Great idea ! I wolud like to ask, is Design Space free?
Hi there! Cricut Design Space is a free program/platform that anyone with a Cricut can use. However, not all of the images/projects available on Design Space are free. You can pay monthly, yearly, or per image to access the non-free projects and images. Amber from Damask Love wrote a great article further explaining it. Hope that helps! :)
