Super Cute Cotton Candy Shoppe Party
So it turns out that Jessica Billings of Party Pants and I have something very important in common… a major soft spot for cotton candy! ;) And this is especially lucky for Jessica’s nieces, because she was inspired to spin up some serious CUTENESS for them with this retro Cotton Candy Themed Party. The dessert table is beautifully decorated with all kinds of sweet details – from candy jars filled with pastel treats to a delicious-looking handmade cotton candy garland hanging overhead. Each little “chef” even got to spin their own fluffy stick of cotton candy… then end the party with a cake fight! Now that sounds like my kind of fun. ;)
PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:
- Pink “SWEET” Marquee Lights Sign adds some vintage dazzle to the dessert table
- Wrapped candy garland + fluffy handmade cotton candy garland (LOVE!)
- Bright gumballs used as functional decor + cute sign “easels” made from stripy straws
- Personalized chef’s hats, tutus & matching hair clips for each guest
- Simple coconut cake adorned with taffy + an adorable impromptu cake fight!
PARTY DETAILS as told by Jessica…
Cotton Candy is my favorite party treat of all time, so I knew when I had my nieces and their girlfriends over for a playdate I wanted it to be all cotton candy! When the girls arrived, I handed them each a customized tutu and pettiskirt with matching hair clips to wear for the party.
The girls started the day off by filling up on sweet treats at the dessert table. The cotton candy flavored cupcakes, jelly rolls and coconut cake were topped off with mini cotton candies. They quenched their thirst with strawberry milk dispensed into mini milk bottles with their initials. The table also had a stick of homemade cotton candy for each girl and they filled their cotton candy cart favor boxes with treats from the candy buffet.
Once they were done at the dessert table and candy buffet, each girl found personalized place settings and chef boxes at the chef’s table. Each box sat on top of personalized placemats and held jumbo milk cartons filled with juice and bags filled with hard candy used for the cotton candy machine. The girls wore chef hats and aprons with their names embroidered on them while they dropped the candies into the machine and spun it onto their sticks. The girls finished off their fantastic playdate with a cake fight in the backyard.
