PARTY DETAILS, as told by Paula

At the highly styled pancake and pajama party from our first issue of Festivities Magazine, coffee was definitely optional with all this eye popping color at breakfast.  Hot pink and orange against a neutral white made color the star of the party and a big impression on our little guests.

The party was all about pancakes and pajamas, and with a bit of an upscale edge, we made a big nod to the birthday girl’s favorite thing: hotel room service. Hot pink melamine serving trays and a room service menu with the pancake selection for the morning were set for each girl along with a specially personalized place card.

Partylycyous: supplied the bright orange runners for our table, and Buds, Etc. created the beautiful pomander flower arrangements and chair sashes for the table and the buffet.

There were lots of breakfast treats presented to the girls on the table and on the buffet. Donuts were served on a jewel-topped sticks, fuzzy little bunny slippers were made from candy-dipped and coconut rolled brownies, and sugar cookies set into “pancake stacks” to eat. There was also a selection of fresh fruits, cereals served from push up pops, and three different types of pancakes to choose from.

And to make the girls feel even more special, we used real champagne glasses — usually reserved for adults—to raise a breakfast toast.

Each girl received a specially-made pajama shirt with her initial as a party favor. They were all so excited about the new tops, they put them on over their pajamas when they got them!

The printables in this party are now available in my shop.
