PARTY DETAILS, as told by Lilly

When I first met Ivonne, she was a bit nervous and very clear how important it was to her that this party turn out just like her vision. She has always planned every detail of her daughter’s parties and this was the first time she wouldn’t be 100% involved. When we first spoke she explained how she wanted to incorporate all the Princesses from Disney into the design of the party but how she didn’t want images of the princesses necessarily. Right away I knew what concept I would use: Dress inspiration!

First, I decided a color scheme that would look royal, whimsical, feminine, and still match with all the princesses’ style. I knew that light blue, pink, lavender, and gold accents would be the perfect color combination for this party. I quickly contacted all my amazing vendors and gave them a heads up to my ideas. I began designing the dessert table to incorporate all the princesses. Cinderella’s slippers, Snow White’s apples, Ariel’s clam shells, and Belle’s roses, and pearlized gumballs for Jasmine were the desserts I incorporated into the table. Almost every princess was represented throughout in a subtle yet elegant manner, while keeping the color scheme in mind. Incorporating all the princesses and their styles was a bit difficult to combine with one another but they are all princesses after all. One of my favorite parts of the dessert table? The gorgeous tiara cookies!

Another important part of this Royal Ball was the dress up station. I designed this table based on Cinderella’s initial pink dress made by the mice. Since all the princesses and Knights were greeted at the entrance of this party with this table, I found it appropriate to make this the transition point in the event. This is where all the children became princesses or knights. The table was full of tiaras, wands, tutus, and inflate knight swords and shield sets. The children loved the dress up and loved playing with all their accessories!

There was a great variety of treats for the guests to enjoy and it was eye candy too!

This event was a blast to plan and best of all was the happy mom when she walked into the party!

Adorable. The slippers are the highlight of party details for the year; the attention to detail just fantastic. I can’t imagine what it must have felt like to be a little girl at this party in sinking into one of those rose or oyster cookies. Wonderful work. Thank you for sharing. Gina at willowday

      Hi Everyone –

I’m not 100% sure where Lilly purchased the paper shoes specifically, but you can find TONS of them in different styles and colors on Etsy! Click here to go there now. (A Google search will yield lots of results as well.) Good luck!

Is there a template on how to make the cinderella slippers?? thanks

  23. H.Keller January 3, 2013 at 11:29 pm

the slippers filled with candy are from a cricut cartridge called a princess party. I think thats what its called. The dress cutouts along with everything else, i.e. apple, mirror, etc, are part of another cricut cartridge. If you’re not sure what a cricut cutting machine is or the cartridges it uses, look it up online :)
