Wanted to share some quick & easy Thanksgiving favor/hostess gift ideas I recently created using the Grateful Mod Party Printables, which you can download for free here!

All you need for the packaging is:

  • small kraft boxes OR cellophane bags
  • pretty ribbon OR raffia
  • one of following printables: drink/food flags (skinny designs used as “closures” on the bigger boxes), favor tags (used on the cellphane bags & small boxes), or paper patterns (used for the layered circle design on one of the small boxes).

And then for the edible filler, I just whipped up a quick sweet party mix that coordinates with the colors on the printables, and is made from store-bought elements: Sweet & Salty Chex Mix, white-chocolate pretzels, and Reese’s Pieces. Easy-peasy!

These are wonderful – thanks for sharing. Now I finally have an idea how to create a great ‘doggy’ bag for my guests on Thanksgiving.

Hi there. Saw you on KUSI San Diego Sunday Nov. 21. There was a plate of pretzel treats that looked super simple to create. Can you please pass on the recipe? Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving.

      Hi Michele –
You can find the recipe here:

I just swapped out Reese’s Pieces for the m&ms on mine and used only Just Hershey Hugs. If you do both Hershey Kisses and Hugs, do them separately because the Hugs melt much faster than the Kisses!
