Easter Silhouette Plate DIY Project

1. Trace the silhouettes on the transparent paper/stencil. Cut out the stencil with x-Acto knife. (Take your time here and pay attention to all the details.)

2. Peel off the back of the stencil and stick the stencil on to the back of the plate/bowl (use the provided template as a guide).  Burnish the edges with your thumb (as shown on image 4).  This will prevent the paint from penetrating – resulting in a sharp design.

3. Start applying paint over the stencils with a sponge (image 5). While the first coat of paint dries, start painting the grass with the fine brushes. Apply a second layer of paint over the stencil. Allow to dry completely.

4. Gently peel off the stencil. Fix any imperfections with the fine brushes.

Lay the decorated glass plate over a white plate for a simple look or create a little stand by placing in on top of the glass bowl as a fun centerpiece!
