Elegant Thanksgiving Table Setting Ideas
These Thanksgiving tablescape ideas from Country Living are so elegant & inspiring! I love the sense of warmth conveyed in this first look, which features pretty sepia & brown tones and lots of natural textures…
The sentimental touches are wonderful too – especially the lovely photo centerpiece idea (pictured below), and the handwritten names & phrases applied to the linens, place cards, and even the wine goblets!
This next centerpiece idea could be incorporated into a variety of looks – and the style of font you choose for the words “GIVING THANKS” will really affect the finished look. You could even tailor this idea to an ultra-contemporary table by using a san-serif font, perhaps in all lowercase + a modern color palette. The same concept is applied to the coordinating napkin rings too.
Note: Buying multiple can get expensive, so look for sales and discount places where you can purchase pillar candles in bulk to help cut down on your costs!
Last but not least, a buffet of autumn-toned berries & leaves makes for a rich & colorful harvest look! (You can achieve this look with artificial berries & leaves, which are readily available at craft stores right now.)

Those felt wrapped candles are too cute. Easy and fun =)
How inspiring!! I love the wine goblets!
Oh wow. It’s all so perfect and gorgeous! My favorite is the top photos. That tablecloth is so fitting for that setting. I did a natural setting this year too for my Thanksgiving table. You can see it here:

thanks!!
Hi Jill –
The font is called “Fling” :)
jenn,
i could kiss you! thanks so much :)
These are beautiful. I love using photos whenever & wherever – makes everything so personal. Check out some of the place setting ideas on my blog – http://www.1800flowers.com/julie. I think you’ll like them too. Happy Thanksgiving!
Really great ideas :) I especially like the pears set atop the dishes – so simple, so clever.
I read about how expensive buying multiple candles can be. I hand=stamped candles for favors for my daughter christening. I had to buy about 50 candles, so I saved up Michael’s and AC Moore coupons (which Michael’s accepts) They sell 3-packs of white pillar candles. With the coupon, it comes to about $1.00 per candle!
Good Stuff!
Jenn, have you posted the new Thanksgiving “party themes” (from the sneak peak) yet?
These were definitely inspirational. Ideas are elegant and easy! Some of these will definitely make an appearance at our dinner next Thursday!
Chris –
Not yet….sigh. I seriously need a time-freezing machine so I can catch up on everything :0
It’s on my list for this weekend though… has to be – TG is next week already!!
Jenn :)
