This conference is very much focused on the BUSINESS side of event planning, which is something that’s SO important but often gets pushed aside because we’re always so busy with the actual work! As much as we all love to be creative in our personal areas of expertise – whether it’s food, decor, floral, stationery, photography, or anything else associated with events – at the end of the day we really DO have bills to pay, right?! And I can tell you from first-hand experience that it’s very easy to get carried away in the design/creative side of things and suddenly realize the hourly breakdown of your fee has dwindled down to peanuts! Sigh…
