first birthday pink balloon cookies

This party’s got me up, up, up on a {pretty pink} cloud! Anne-Marie Johnson of Elianna Noelle Events dreamed up this whimsical Floating to One First Birthday Party for little girl, Tiya. I’m loving the silhouette of the little girl holding a balloon that’s used throughout several of the details – it ties the whole theme together perfectly. From the treats to the balloon inspired centerpieces, there’s actually great inspiration here for any balloon themed birthday party – whether it’s age one or beyond!

PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:

  • Super cute mint, pink, & white hand-written chalkboard first year sign
  • Bow topped pink smash cake + ruffled tier cake adorned with a birthday girl silhouette
  • Ribbon topiary ‘balloon’ centerpieces + giant confetti filled balloons with tissue tassel garlands
  • Fondant balloon cupcake toppers + personalized mini balloon cookie pops

PARTY DETAILS as told by Anne-Marie

For quite some time I’ve wanted to incorporate 36″ balloons and tassels. So when my client told me at our first meeting that she wanted 24 of them for this balloon first birthday, I was elated! Her color scheme was hot pink and white and we infused some additional shades of pink to soften things up. Her backyard was a gorgeous backdrop so we wanted to enhance it!

Carmen from The Flair Exchange was a pleasure to work with and the shades of colors of the tassels and balloons couldn’t have been more perfect! I thought it would be great to incorporate a silhouette of a little girl holding the big balloon to symbolize her first birthday. Therefore we used this design for the cake, desserts, and the personalized chalkboard. Gillian from Murals by Gillian created this one of a kind hand painted chalkboard! It was stunning and a show stopper!

The ribbon topiary centerpieces were made by none other than Bethany from Sweet Georgia Sweet. So much TLC went into crafting each one! They were huge but dainty enough to fit in with the decor. My vision was for the ribbon topiary to reflect the balloon and the tissue paper at the base tied in with the tissue paper of the tassels. I just loved
how these turned out!

The balloon cookies with the birthday girl’s name was a surprise to mom as well as the silhouette cookie with the balloons. Although the wind was brutal, it was a beautiful event and I was fortunate to work with such talented vendors!
