Free Printables: Patriotic Drink Parasols
If you’re on the lookout for some fun ideas for your 4th of July parties this weekend, here are some new free party printables for you!
I decided to create a more traditional red, white, & blue version of the printable drink parasols from our recent Color Your Summer party theme. Here they are…
(The original designs could easily work for 4th of July as well, but they feature a red/white/aqua color scheme with yellow accents for a twist on the traditional palette.)
You’ll find the download link & DIY instructions for the Patriotic Parasols below, and here are a few more shots of the original drink parasols in action:
PATRIOTIC DRINK PARASOLS
***
You’ll need:
- bamboo skewers
- parasol patterns
- glue stick
- tape
- glue dots or hot glue
Directions:
1. Click here to download the patterns for the red, white, & blue parasols pictured here.
2. Using photo-quality card stock, print and cut out the parasol patterns, then cut a slit from the edge of each pattern to its center. Slightly overlap the sides of the slit until the circle forms a parasol shape, securing the edges with glue stick and tape.
3. Use glue dots or a dab of hot blue to the underside of the parasol’s point, using it to secure the bamboo skewer in place. Trim the bamboo skewer to desired height.

*P.S. You can also use these to create cute little “patriotic beach umbrellas” for cupcakes! Just cut the bamboo skewers even shorter and insert them into frosted cupcakes that are sprinkled with brown sugar for a “sand” effect.

Hi. I am a stay at home mommy in India. Loved your printable “Drinks Parasols.” But unfortunately the link that you have so kindly provided does not seem to be working.
If you could mail me the link I would be really grateful.
Thanks and really appreciate the “Fabulous” work that you do.
How do you cut them out with it looking so perfect? Do you have a round cutter or is somthing you can import into a sillouhette?
