The trend of morning birthday parties for little ones is picking up steam, and for good reason — avoids those cranky afternoon meltdowns! ;) Courtney Champion of Cook like a Champion cleverly styled this Geometric & Colorful 2nd Birthday Brunch for her little girl. I am loving all of the adorable and totally do-able DIY, like the triangular label tags with geometric Washi tape detailing and all of the delicious looking (homemade) brunch foods that now, you can make too because Courtney is generously sharing her recipes with us today! Brunch may seem like a strange time for a two year old’s birthday party, but think about this — it’s over before nap time! Coffee and mimosas for the parents, juice for the little ones, and delicious food for everyone. It’s actually kind of perfect.

Menu:

• Chicken and Waffles with Maple Butter Syrup
• Cheddar and Chive Scones
• Candied Bacon
• Yogurt Parfait Bar (with vanilla yogurt, almond granola, strawberries and blackberries)
• Blueberry Pancake Cupcakes with Maple Caramel Frosting
• Mini Doughnuts for dipping
• Cold Brew Coffee (with vanilla bean simple syrup and milk available)
• Mimosas
• Water, orange juice and juice boxes

The doughnut dipping station was my favorite activity. The kids had so much fun making miniature doughnut creations, and the adults loved watching them. Even better, the doughnuts were an edible favor that the guests could take home with them. Seeing the little ones in the aprons I decorated was almost too much cuteness to handle.
