Modern “Glam-o-ween” Halloween Party
What little girl wouldn’t love to celebrate Halloween with a more “glam” color pallette? Glam loving guests will be in for a “treat” when you toss out the orange and black and bring in purple, lime and pinks. HWTM Contributor Maureen Anders of Anders Ruff, here to share a fa-boo-lous Glam-o-een Party. {Glam + Halloween = Glam-o-ween}. (This theme would also make a great party theme for girls celebrating birthdays in October!)
PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:
- Chocolate skeleton bones favors
- Bat marshmallow pops in baskets of popcorn
- Laser cut pink paper chandelier decor
- Precious glam witch costume with a glamorous purple pointy hat!
PARTY DETAILS
This year, we stepped away from the traditional orange and black and designed a fresh new printable design collection full of all things Halloween Glam. Pink + Purple + Lime mixed with Black and grey makes for a Glam Halloween. Glam-o-ween!
Guests were invited with a glam Halloween printable invitation that we embellished with little crystals.
A fun pink chandelier was the centerpiece focus on the backdrop. Instead of using a real chandelier, we designed a printable chandelier silhouette and printed/mounted it on foam core board and hung it from our grey chevron backdrop. Our printable “Glamoween” banner was strung from sparkly ribbon and hung on the front of the black dresser.
Popcorn boxes were embellished with our glam printable party logos and matted on ruffled tissue paper. We used glittery ribbon on popcorn boxes from Nashville Wraps. Popcorn filled the boxes as well as a spooky surprise – chocolate skeleton limbs (made from molds at Fancy Flours). We also made chocolate covered marshmallow pops that we embellished with printable bats. Sprinkles were from Fancy Flours.
Lime green candies lined our trays to add a pop of color. Classic white platters were used to display fabulous cookies by Whip It Good Cookies. Erin decorated the cookies to match our printable graphics and they were delicious!
I baked up some glam pink, purple and lime colored macarons and sprinkled them with disco dust. We placed sparkly spiders on top of each macaron for a more fitting presentation.
Black glass cake stands were used to display the cake (Got What It Cakes) as well as cupcakes that were adorned with Anders Ruff printable spooky glam cats. Chocolate covered Skeleton oreos (using a mold from Fancy Flours) were also displayed with the cupcakes.
A gorgeous lime and white chevron runner from A to Zebra Celebrations was used as a runner to display extra goodies. To coordinate everything from beginning to end, printable wraps adorned chocolate bars, which were great for favors.
Sweet Things designed a custom glam witch costume for our little model/guest of honor, Willow. Willow loved the drink bottles (Polka Dot Market) that we “glammed up” by embellishing with glittery ribbon and our printable drink wrap. Straws were flagged and stuck to the sides of the bottles with a glue dot.
Adorable chevron bags were filled with chocolate skeleton limbs and embellished with glittery ribbon and a printable favor tag from our collection.
Guests didn’t leave empty handed. Tricks and treats and everything sweet. Glittery glam gumballs from Polka Dot Market were bagged and topped with a folding bag topper from the Glam-o-ween printable collection.
The Glam-o-ween printable collection is available for purchase and instant download in the Anders Ruff Shop.
