Gorgeous Persimmon & Plum Theme {Part 1}
Even though we’re well into Winter holiday themes right now, I couldn’t resist sharing this beautiful Persimmon and Plum-inspired theme that Vanessa from Alchemy Fine Events & Invitations put together! The colors are so rich and warm – I honestly think you could spin this into a gorgeous winter holiday table too, simply by mixing in some metallic purple, gold, copper ornaments.
Seriously loving the gorgeous flowers used here too, especially this lush beauty:
Read on for lots more pics and details on the tablescape and ultra-creative invitations and paper elements, as told by Vanessa (then click here to check out part 2!)…
“This was my inspiration for a modern take on a Thanksgiving/Fall inspired wedding. When I think of Fall, the sunlight always comes to mind, and how different it looks and feels (almost brighter & crisper), when shining through the falling leaves and against warm terracotta walls.
I absolutely love mixing looks and styles and love to show people that they need not be afraid to combine all of theirs loves together. For this look I combined warm peach terracotta, rich black plums, vibrant persimmon, warm wool plaids, geometrical graphics and clean modern green glass.
Tablescape:
- Rancho Valencia in Rancho Santa Fe, CA served as the backdrop for this shoot. An antique bleached wood lounge table served as the base for rich plum wool linens, a vintage Italian silk scarf and clean green glass risers.
Geometric white ceramic ware:
- was filled with fragrant purple orchids, black dahlias and soft peach tulips and garden roses.
Handmade boiled wool plaids:
- were used for a richly colored napkin ring and a menu wrap to bring in the feeling of a cool and crisp fall afternoon.
Invitations:
- Like a piece of fine jewelry, an invitation should sparkle and entice your guests as to what’s to come! Spanish textures and shapes mixed with Pucci inspired retro patterns were used to create this folding invitation:
Closed like a book to start out, threads of copper and silver chain and plum silk ribbon enable the invitation to open and reveal the words inside. Real turquoise and copper beads were embellished onto the front of the invitation to give a luxurious and rich cover to this wedding invitation book, which gets nestled inside thick white envelopes featuring soft peach liners.”
