Charming Yellow & Orange Baby Shower
How about a healthy dose of SUNSHINE to brighten your day? This gorgeous Yellow & Orange Baby Shower from Megan of Blaine Photography is the perfect mix of vintage and modern and is absolutely GLOWING with charming, sunny details!
One of my favorite elements has got to be the baby food jar “vases” embellished with organic crocheted ribbon for a touch of softness, and then of course there are the beautiful flowers themselves, the stunning display of color-coordinating food, the elegant stationery details {which just so happen to be starring one of my very favorite fonts!}, the sweet, homemade “It’s a Girl” banner fashioned from burlap-and-twine, and more…

PARTY DETAILS, as told by Megan…
“The main table was covered in a cotton lace table runner layered over luxurious Italian linen table cloth, with a soft frayed edge. We saved different sizes of food jars for weeks, then wrapped them in organic crocheted ribbons for an added touch of softness. We filled them with bright colored flowers abundant with petals. We filled the jars with tight bundles of orange ranunculus, yellow chrysanthemums, peach roses, wild daisies, and silvery-grey succulents grounded the arrangements. The sandblasted manzanita branches also added a sense of layered texturing, a juxtaposition of hard & soft that added interest and complexity.
Kimmy had one request for her shower: mojitos mocktails! She hasn’t been able to indulge in her cocktail of choice for the past 8 months, so we made a delicious minty mojito mocktail! We also had sangria which tied in the colors of yellow and orange.
Kimmy’s mother’s house provided a beautiful neutral backdrop for the shower, and Kimmy’s mother provided the biggest spread of food imaginable! The food labels were printed on thick, cotton paper.
Guests were thanked with precious woven straw bags filled with lavender seeds to plant and grow!”

Love it, especially if you don’t know the sex of the baby! Super cute!
I love the fonts you used for the food cards! Would you be willing to share the font names?
Sure! The fonts are Affair and Archer Light. They are a little expensive, but I use them all the time so it’s totally worth it! :)
I just found this font that’s free and looks a lot like Archer. Enjoy!

So unique. I love how this doesn’t look like your typical baby shower.
i agree, tammy – and i also don’t think there’s a right way to put something like this together, as long as its fun and friendly. fitango.com has guided me in putting some things like this together, and besides here, i’d love if anybody shared where theyre getting party planning ideas

You colors and photos are always so sweet and charming!
The color palette is so warm and pleasing to the eyes. :) What a wonderful way to celebrate a new life.
Also, how cute are those favor bags! They look so pretty!
Love the decor! Where did you find the place cards with the yellow polka dots? Those are so very close to the invitation that I used for my friend. Are you also willing to share any of your recipes…I would be willing to swap with you! Thanks!
Love the idea of the lace around the baby food jars-turned-bud vases! We’ve been seeing a lot of interest in tying the signature drink with the event color scheme — so, lemonade rimmed with yellow cocktail rim sugar, Blue Hawaiians with blue rim sugar, etc.
I love everything yo did. Will you share some reciepes and i will too. i also need the marshmallow treats plz Thanks
Beautiful shower – daughter is expecting a baby girl in November. Would you please share how the marshmallow treats were made.
Thank you
I loved the Its a Girl, what did they make it out of? Looks like paper on some type of material. Loved the idea of the flowers in baby food jars.
The photography is awesome – especially the finger food which has made me so hungry :)
Could I please have the recipe for the marshmellow treats…they look great…as did the whole shower theme…Great Job!
Where can I find those invites? I just love them!
