PARTY DETAILS, as told by Mindy

My brother was recently married & my parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at their home with a Hawaiian Luau theme. Very fitting since the couple will be honeymooning in Maui! Hawaiian attire was encouraged & boy did everyone participate, I’ve never seen so many surf shirts! They started the night out with appetizers by the pool with mango chutney with cream cheese, lavosh cracker bread, fresh fruit, and a family favorite, banana pineapple slush. Dinner followed with a whole hog roast, shrimp fried rice, ambrosia salad, hawaiian spinach salad, crudites, candied sweet potatoes, grilled pineapple, macaroni salad, & hawaiian bread. The grooms aunt provided homemade banana cream pie, coconut cream pie, key lime pie, and chocolate macadamia pie. The tables were adorned with shells, sand, votives & fresh floral arrangements. The whole evening had a wonderful casual feel that encouraged everyone to share stories of the couple & spend time hanging out with good friends and family!
