PARTY DETAILS, as told by Jasmine…
It always makes me happy when I get to work on a baby shower for one of my previous brides. When Cyndi’s mom called me to let me she was putting together a baby shower for Cyndi and she wanted me to do a sweets table for the event I was thrilled. When she mentioned it was a baseball theme shower I got even more excited because my family pretty much lives for baseball. Both my boys play all year and I couldn’t ask for a better theme.
I wanted to create a large decorative piece to hang above the table. I made the fans out of blue and red wrapping paper I purchased at the Dollar Store and put some stickers over the centers. I purchased a few pre-made tissue fan balls from Target which I just opened in half and glued a foamcore board. I glued all the pieces to the board to make it easier to hang. The baseball in the middle is a rug I borrowed from my son’s room :-)
I created a buttercream ruffle cake with an easy to make banner on top. Some of the other items I made included baseball theme sugar cookies, french macarons, chocolate dipped pretzel sticks and mini cupcakes. I made cake pops and inserted them into floral foam I placed in small wooden boxes I purchased from AC Moore. To tie in the baseball theme, I sprinkled sunflower seeds over the foam to cover it up.
Sweeties by Kim made the beautiful gourmet baseball Oreo cookies.
Some of the other elements included candy and sweets including BB Bats, Baby Ruth bars, peanuts, caramel corn, chocolate covered mini baseballs and Cracker Jacks.

this “take me out to the ball game” baby shower theme is great! Thanks for the share!
You are talented. That table looks immaculate! Your creativity and resourcefulness is impressive, you’ve managed to source this stuff quite easily it would seem. At least you make it look easy. :)
Love the Baby Ruth candy bars…so clever!

was wondering how one might be able to purchase the baseball sign?
Where can I buy this chalkboard background not too expansive?
Where did the invitations come from? I’m looking for something like this for my sister’s shower. Texas Rangers Baseball theme.
