REAL PARTIES: Modern Parisian Bridal Shower
My good friend Jen is getting married June 9! Here are a few snapshots from the bridal shower I co-hosted this weekend. Jen got engaged at the Eiffel Tower and LOVES modern style, so we did a Modern Parisian theme with fluffy feathers, scroll patterns, and a color palette of pink, black & white.
The shower was held at Kinara Cafe in L.A. – in an amazing private outdoor patio filled with tons of lush greenery, flowers, a loungy sitting area, and a gorgeous fountain…such a beautiful setting to work with!
Amy did a great job on the rehearsal bouquet…not too long before Jen will be holding the real thing!
Congrats, Jen! We’re so glad you loved the shower – and now the countdown begins…!

hi anon –
The Eiffel tower necklace charms are from a store in LA called “Party on La Cienega”. I don’t think they have a website, but here’s their store info in case you’re local or want to call them and see if you can order over the phone:

When my maid of honor was hosting my bridal shower, she and I wanted to coordinate our invitations so the bridal shower invitations would match my wedding theme and wedding invitations. We looked online and found a few places that had great bridal shower invitations and wedding invitations that could be personalized with our own wordings, Bridal Shower Invitations, Holiday & Christmas Wedding Invitations and Wedding Announcements. All these sites had lots of sample wording ideas for bridal shower invitations and wedding invitations. They also had lots of holiday and Christmas themed invitations for bridal showers and weddings. We eventually purchased from Cards Shoppe, and we were very glad we did. Our guests really loved our custom invitations and wanted to know where we got them. I really recommend these sites for your bridal shower or wedding!
What a beautiful party! One of the nicest I’ve seen. Where did you get the little boxes and the pink feathers? Also the vaces and name place cards?
Hi Anon-
Thanks for the kind words!
The pink feathers were purchased at a flower supply store – but you can also find them online. They’re ostrich drabs – tonyhill.com and ostrich.com are great resources.
The placecards are blumebuds and area available at blumebox.com.
I’m not sure which little boxes you’re referring to – but if you mean the cylinder-shaped ones with the feather on top, those were actually a close-out sale at a discount store and just a very lucky find by the bride’s cousin!
Hi, everything thing looks really great! Where did you purchase the invitations? They are exactly what I am looking for for my bridal shower.
Hi Anon –
So sorry about missing this question until now! I need to check with the maid of honor -she’s the one that ordered the invites. I’ll post the info as soon as I have it :)
Cheers,
Jenn
Hello!
I’m having my bridal shower in May, and this is exactly the sort of non-traditional theme I’m looking for!
I was curious to know where you purchased the placemats, and the pink with black top jar (diamond plaid as well) from?
Any advise would be so appreciated. Thank you for having such a wonderful site!
Would love to know where you ordered the invitations…everything was beautiful!
Hi Rita –
The invitations were purchased at Traylor Papers – http://www.traylorpapers.com – but this was about a year and a half ago and I don’t see that exact design on their site anymore :(
They do have a bunch of other cute designs though – especially under the “all occasion” section.
Here are a few other great places to check out for bridal shower invitations:

Good luck! :)
Hi,
I love the theme and everything is exquisite. My future sister-in-law got engaged in Paris so I am thinking a Parisian theme for the shower. These are some great ideas!
I love the idea of the block letters that spelled her name in front of the flowers- where did you guys get those? Probably a craft store would have them but just wondering where you purchased them.
Also, in the first picture it looks like a menu in the middle of the placemat- can you please share where you ordered those from as well?
Thanks, and awesome job!!!
Hi Caroline –
The block letters were from a store in San Diego called “Cool Scrapbook Stuff” – so any scrapbook store would probably be a safe bet – or potentially even craft store like Michaels, Hobby Lobby, or Joann.
The menus are custom – I’m a graphic designer so I was able to do them myself :)
Thanks so much for the compliments and good luck with the shower!
Great decor. i was wondering where you got the beads with the eiffel tower on them please help… thanks

The Eiffel tower necklace charms were purchased in-store at a place in LA that used to be called “Party on La Cienega” and recently changed their name to “Party Paper Life”. Here’s the website:
P.S. This party was held quite a while ago though, so they might not carry them anymore. Etsy.com could be a good place to look for something similar though :)
The color combination is nice. Black, pink, and white is a good color combination. Nice.
