Girls Fashion Party (Creative Outfits & Runway Fun!)
Make it work, designers! This Girls Fashion Party styled by Sebrell Smith of Sebrell Smith Designer Events is such a fun way to throw an on-trend birthday bash. These little fashionistas designed their own outfits using fabric & embellishments, then modeled their creations down the homemade runway. (And the chic gown birthday cake was a perfect fit!)
PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:
- Fashion design station with fabric & embellishments for the girls to create their very own garments
- Adorable runway fashion show to model their creations {complete with fashion forward hair & makeup!}
- Fashionable pink ombre gown birthday cake + Fashion Show “Admit one” VIP passes
PARTY DETAILS, as told by Sebrell…
Fashion Party Fun – Ten girls created their own fashionable outfits, and then starred in their own runway show, complete with hair and makeup. All clothes were made 100% by the girls themselves.
Some clothes were allowed as foundation pieces, but the girls had to alter them in some way. A clothes rack had garments ready to be cut apart and reinvented. Shelves were stocked with supplies, including additional fabrics and accessories. No sewing was involved – the girls used staples, glue, duct tape, etc. to adorn each outfit. Materials included gossamer paper, paper streamers, feathers, doilies, crystals and more.
Each girl had a hair and makeup session before walking the runway to show off their creations. Watch out Project Runway, these girls blew us away with their creativity and sophisticated sense of style! No party is complete without a fun parting gift – each girl received their own fashion journal and sewing kit.

This is such a fabulous girls party idea!!! Brilliant x
A Project Runway party is definitely in our sights! Thanks for the inspiration!
I’m doing one of these for my daughter next month. Very similar just with plain tshirts supplied along with fabric, zippers, bling, and other small items to add to them. Cake will be high heel cupcakes. Invitations are done, VIP passes and thank you items left to do. I love your idea about the body and the sections so I might use that too (if that’s ok)
