Kitchen Inspired Pink & Green Bridal Shower {On A Budget!}
Once upon a time, just a couple weeks ago in fact, an adorable lady – who also happens to be part of the HWTM family – married her longtime sweetheart! And even though she’s still a young twenty-something, I really do mean longtime sweetheart… Alyssa and Paul have been dating since they were 14! I’m excited to share the details of her recent Kitchen Inspired Bridal Shower with you today, which was dreamed up and hosted by her (very proud) momma. You can definitely feel the love in these pics – from the obvious good time being had by all to the foodie-themed details inspired by one of Alyssa’s other passions. ;)
P.S. Excited to share details from the wedding soon too! In the meantime though, I’ll leave you with a sneak peek in the form of the cutest altar selfie pic ever!
PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:
- Cookie recipe-in-a-jar favors adorned with mini kitchen whisks
- Bridal Bingo + m&m markers in paper bags with rhinestone clothespins
- Sentimental “Recipe for Love” book with a family recipe from each guest
- Lemon and lime infused water + fruit puree mimosa bar
PARTY DETAILS, as told by Alyssa…
If you’ve ever had a party of “Hostess” caliber thrown for you, then you know exactly how amazing it feels to have family and friends come together and exceed all expectations. I’m so impressed that my mom pulled this all together! I gave her a folder of HWTM inspiration and all of the kitchen inspired bridal showers I could find to help give her a little direction. Otherwise, I had three requests: breakfast food, pink, and our patio as the venue. As you can tell by the pictures I was a very happy girl :)
By having the shower at home we were able to cut costs on a venue expense. It also allowed for friends and family to help out: my fiances mom and sister brought quiche and mimosas. Other friends and family brought the favors, {amazing} french toast, fruit salad, cake, paper goods, and games. Not only did it save money, but it also felt super special! The only real splurge were the linens to make the space feel more festive.
Decor details from the day include:
- Hot pink and white linens + lime green napkins
- Cookie recipe-in-a-jar + mini whisk favors
- Engagement and relationship photos in gold frames
- Bingo + m&m markers in pink and white paper bags with rhinestone clothespins
- Lemon and lime infused water + fruit puree mimosa bar
- Quiche, french toast, fruit salad, and bagels & cream cheese for brunch
- Vanilla cake with fondant leave made by my aunt + silver “B” topper
- Pink & green tissue poms and “Mr. & Mrs.” table confetti
- Bride-to-be sash + “Recipe for love” book with a family recipe from each person- such a treasure!
- Purse Game and rehearsal bouquet made from gift wrapping
My mom is not a party planner by any means, but I was so proud of what she organized! She put it together based on inspiration from HWTM, so I thought it was a great example that you don’t have to do every theme-y detail to make a party exceptional.
