I am totally loving the recent puppy and kitty parties trend! What’s cuter than little ones dressing up as cuddly animals?! ;) For her daughter’s special day, Brandy Rammel of Pretty Plain Janes created this Darling Kitty Cat Birthday Luncheon Party with sweet & simple decor in mind. I love the soft pink paper decor combined with the pops of chic black and white polka dots. Such a lovely way to celebrate your animal-lover!

PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:

  • DIY felt cat ears & yarn balls for each guest + Color a Kitty activity & Pin the Bow on the Kitty game

PARTY DETAILS as told by Brandy

For my daughter’s 3rd birthday party I wanted something sweet and very special (In addition to turning 3 she becomes a big sister very soon)! Jettie is an animal lover with cats being her favorite, so a kitty cat party seemed “purr-fect.” We made this a “girls only” event, keeping the guest list small enough to do more personalized place settings. I have many favorite details with the kitty tins being one of them. We filled each tin with goldfish and hand made “ears.”

For activities we had a “color a kitty” station as well as “pin the bow on the kitty cat.” And of course a feline can’t have ears without whiskers so we had a special station for whisker painting. I also loved how all the artwork turned out — from the pennants to the signs. All inspired by the invitation that we sent out to Jettie’s guests. The biggest hit was the cake. Not only was it amazing in taste but it made for the absolute perfect final touch on this adorable luncheon. Jettie has not stopped talking about her party ever since. I would say that makes it a success!

Love this! I’ve been searching for kitty pails! Where did you find them?

It said she got the pails from Target dollar spot in 2014. Apparently they are bunnies.
