PARTY DETAILS, as told by Stephanie

Every Tuesday on our blog we feature a dessert table or tablescape created by a talented woman in the party industry. The catch: the rules are that they get the Spaceships and Laser Beams collection of their choice and we give them $50 for a dessert table or $20 for a tablescape. They can also use anything else they can beg or borrow, make themselves or already own.

We had a vendor unable to fill their commitment and decided it was an excellent opportunity to “play by our own rules.” We created a Little Chef themed budget dessert table using our new cooking/baking party themed collection. I thought about using this theme to do a cooking party where the kids end up actually making something. But there are some fabulous versions of those parties out there already. What I did see an absence of was actual dessert or cake tables using the theme. Because our budget for the challenge is so low, I really had to watch what I spent and ended up making/baking a lot of the items on the table. Sweet treats included edible cookie dough spoonfuls, mini chocolate mice, marshmallow chefs’ hats, cheese cakes served in sweet bell peppers and lemon custard served in lemons. I also purchased popcorn, cupcakes and a cake.

  5. […] Chef and Bride-to-Be Alina Aghazarian celebrated her upcoming wedding with a Creative Kitchen Themed Bridal Shower filled with gorgeous blooms, chef’s tools and more playful cooking inspired decor. As a lover of creative recipes and having fun in the kitchen, this shower really impressed me- I just love the colander vases, kitchen timer favors and fun “decorate the apron” game! (And for more Kitchen Inspired Party Ideas go here and here.)
