“Love is OWL you need” Valentine’s Day Breakfast Party
“Love is OWL you need” for this bright Valentine’s Day Breakfast Party by A to Zebra Celebrations! With just $100, Nancy whipped up an easy and budget friendly breakfast bar to celebrate with the kids before school… in cute pajamas of course!
PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:
- Cute owl cake pops, marshmallow heart kabobs & yogurt parfaits
- “Owl you can eat pancakes” with strawberry, blueberry, syrup & whipped cream toppings
- DIY centerpiece from a Morton Salt container + lollipops and glittery hearts
PARTY DETAILS, as told by Nancy…
It’s nothing new that my girls and I are addicted to parties. I swear every holiday they ask what the next holiday and WHEN it is just so we can have a party….LOL
Theme & Printables:
“Love is OWL you need”. I was inspired to include owls in my theme when I spotted some cute owls at Pier 1 Imports around Christmas time.
Christine from Desserts and Designs created all of my printables and invitation. I thought it’d be so fun for the girls to wear their cute pijamas. You don’t even have to host this party in the morning. You could host in the evening and have breakfast for dinner!
Food:
I decided to keep it low key and make it a breakfast party. All kids love pancakes right? I pictured a cute stand where I could set the pancakes, strawberries, blueberries, yogurt, etc… My husband was sweet enough to build me a stand for the party. It cost $30 for all the materials. I have to keep things on a budget these days because we host so many parties. I made some small candy skewers. The candy and owl lollipops were purchased at the Dollar Tree. The push pops had yogurt, granola and a strawberry on top.
Decoration:
The stand was decorated with scraps of fabric, ribbon and yard sale items such as the turquoise and red lace around it. I made the heart garland with punched out hearts. I printed some signs that Desserts and Designs provided. I made the centerpiece on the girls’ table with a recycled salt container.
Favors:
I purchased the boxes from the Dollar Tree. There were sweethearts and owl soaps inside each box. The soaps were found at Pier 1 Imports.
