Dive on in to this Glittering Mystical Mermaid Birthday Party, styled by the ever talented, Missy & Kristen of Sweetly Chic Events & Design! This party took a village (as you can see in the impressive vendor credits), which means even more under the sea inspiration for all of us! :) One of my favorite bits of inspiration are those amazing handmade scale & mermaid silhouette backdrops — they definitely help to seal in the magical feeling of the party.

PARTY DETAILS as told by Missy & Kristen…

With a palette of aquatic blues, corals and a touch of gold, our vintage mermaid party achieved a sense beauty and whimsy that the mystical mermaid is known for.

Our little mermaids first enjoyed an array of sweets from our dessert buffet, which was adorned in white ruffle linen, a gold glistening table runner, perfect white peonies in gold glitter and starfish clad mason jars and a beautiful blue, coral and gold tassel garland. Our sweets included a variety of cupcakes with magnificent under the sea inspired fondant toppers, decadent chocolate covered Oreos, beautiful mermaid, starfish, and seahorse cookies, whimsical mermaid tail cake pops, delicious white chocolate starfish, and a coral nonpareil covered cake, adorned with an exquisite fondant mermaid topper, inspired by the birthday girl herself!

Our party guests next indulged in our candy buffet, which included color coordinating cotton candy pops, coral scalloped and aquatic inspired cake pops, Kettle corn in classic white popcorn boxes adorned with personalized mermaid décor, and a vast assortment of lollipops including vintage mermaid lollipops, clam shell and classic mermaid hard candy lollipops and personalized filigree lollipops.

Each guest was excited to enjoy their sweets at our under the sea inspired dining table, which included white clam shell plates, blue ombre wooden utensils, mermaid embellished mason jars with mint chevron straws, and a personalized sea shell and sand inspired centerpiece, complete with a fabric starfish overlay. Each chair was decorated with a fun, ocean blue bubble and gold glittering sea animal garland.

Following their sweet feast, out party guests had a fabulous time playing in our “Mermaid Lagoon.” Upon entering, each tiny tot was given a mermaid inspired tutu, gold star head band and mermaid starfish wand to complete their mystical mermaid transformation.

Whether digging for treasure, or snuggling with a sweet, stuffed octopus in our tassel and scallop garland clad teepee lounge, it was apparent that each little mermaid had an amazing time celebrating this very special mermaid inspired birthday.
