Inspiration

For my son’s 4th birthday party, I wanted to create the ultimate red Mini Cooper themed birthday party. He is the hugest fan because that’s what his dad drives!!

Cake & Dessert Bar

I wanted his birthday cake to look like an European license plate. I submitted the design to my baker and they were able to match it perfectly. The plate read “Happy 4th Birthday Kale.” I topped it with his toy mini cooper car and a pair of racing flags. I used a cut-out of a mini cooper car with a party hat on top of it’s roof flanked with 2 cupcakes with party circles that read “Let’s Motor” to finish off the overall presentation. Other sweet treats included shift knob cake pops, “nuts & bolts”, spare tire swirly pops, and wheel cookies.

Activities

I set up an Auto Body & Paint Shop for kids to give their cars a “paint job.” I wrapped racing flags on the paint brushes, left out tire track stamps for kids to make “skid marks” from racing their cars, “Wish you were here” Mini Cooper post cards for them to write notes on and Mini Cooper temporary tattoos both of which I got for free from our Mini dealer.

Favors

The babies received bibs purchased from the Mini dealer that said “Mini” and personalized baby friendly foods with favor tags hung from baby spoons that read “mini racer in training.” I made red polos that said Mini with iron on letters.
