Gorgeous “Minty Fresh” Kitchen Themed Bridal Shower
So fresh and so clean, clean! Melissa of Melissa Baum Events served up this Minty Fresh Kitchen Themed Bridal Shower for a bride who did not want anything to do with the color pink. Using mint as the signature color, Melissa definitely succeeded in creating a beautiful, feminine celebration without a drop of pink in sight! ;) I’m especially loving the colorblocked wooden utensils, kitchen appliances-turned-vases, and simple, clever touches like using stacked cookbooks as decorative pedestals. There are tons of pretty details from this bridal shower to salivate over below… so, let’s get cooking!
PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:
- Lovely utensil & monogram logo + personalized chef’s apron for the guest of honor
- Lunch menu displayed on a cutting board + a “recipe for a happy marriage” glitter-taped to a chalkboard sign
- Stand mixer, food processor & saucepans used as vases for the gorgeous floral centerpieces
- Pretty treats like mini lemon meringue tarts, chocolate brownie squares, & monogrammed cupcakes
- Forks used as dessert card holders and a cupcake pan used as a candy holder
PARTY DETAILS as told by Melissa…
When meeting with the bride to be, she gave me two instructions in regards to her shower. The theme was to be the kitchen and absolutely no pink. We settled on
the colour mint as it is still feminine and fresh and definitely not pink. We accented with yellow, gold and white.
The center of the party was a sweet table filled with goodies from Bobbette & Belle. We filled the table with mini lemon meringue tarts, white and gold macarons, meringues, marshmallows, mint green cake pops and monogrammed cupcakes. The table was adorned with kitchen themed accessories including stacked cookbooks, muffin trays for candy and forks doubling as dessert sign holders.
For the florals, Becky from Blush & Bloom used kitchen gadgets as pots and created stunning arrangements inside of them. The Kitchenaid mixer was the biggest hit and served as the centerpiece of the sweet table. In addition, there was a Cuisinart and a trio of pots displayed around the shower with blooms flowing out of them.
The lunch buffet consisted of two salads, grilled veggie towers and a spectacular poached salmon. The trio of pots was the centerpiece for the table and was finished off with a custom cutting board menu. Pusateri’s Fine Foods provided the delicious spread.
Other unique touches included custom stationery and a recipe book designed by Melissa Baum Events, a custom chalkboard detailing a “Recipe for a Happy Marriage” and a video surprise where the groom-to-be answered questions about his bride-to-be.
