Alice in Wonderland Wedding tablescape, dress, and place settings

This modern & whimsical Alice in Wonderland Inspired Wedding theme by the super-sweet Rebecca of A Blissful Nest will instantly transport you to fairytale-land!  Between the vibrant colors, perfectly eclectic place settings, larger-than-real-life bridal bow, and movie-inspired paper details, Rebecca definitely brought the magic of Wonderland to life!

I’m especially loving the colorful tissue pom “chandelier” (such a great DIY element!) and special attention to sparkly details – like rock candy stir sticks and rhinestone-bedecked bridal bouquet and ribbon buckles. This is fantastic inspiration for everything from fairytale weddings to birthday parties (or UN-birthdays of course!).

PARTY DETAILS, as told by Rebekah

“I thought you might like the visual eye candy of this Alice In Wonderland inspired shoot! It is bright and bold with a modern flair; taking more after the Tim Burton version of the movie. It’s styled for a wedding-related event, but could be easily adapted into a children’s party with fun twists. A typically Mad Hatter tea party was set with vintage china, rich desserts, and whimsical knick-knacks.

First we selected a color palette of red, black, hot pink, and turquoise, then used patterns in unexpected combination’s to add just enough quirkiness. I used lots of embellishments such as mix matched ribbons,  rhinestone buckles, and layering fabrics, placemats and napkins. This creates depth on a table and ties all the elements together.

The best part of a tea party is the food! A triple layer mouse cake with whipped cream topped with fresh berries, cupcakes with strawberries with a yummy glaze over the top and wide array of assorted candy play to the wonderful indulgence of a sweet afternoon tea party.

Of course you have to have favors for your guests to take home. These little white boxes had candy ring pops nestled inside on a bed of sixlets. Then tied with some of our Alice in Wonderland inspired party printables.”
