PARTY DETAILS, as told by Kate

Our stylized shoot is tailored to the love and affection that you can so plainly see through the eyes of our loving couple Kayla & Dave. Kayla & Dave are so madly in love – anyone can see. From the time the lens captured their first photo, and even off the camera, these two are just the perfect fit for each other! Using hints and suggestions of little optical pieces to our shoot; we were able to convey a fun and modern “look” at love from a fun and different light.  Concept created by Events by Kate.

GORGEOUS! Photography by Taqueesha captured the love of Kayla & Dave by getting a fun outdoor location, and pairing our artistic talents together to create this stunning shoot!

With two re-purposed vintage chairs painted red, and given a modern chevron style seat cushion; EBK worked to achieve the industrial back alley look to fit the shoot. With hints of red, white and black as our main pallet; we teamed up with amazing stationary artist Carrie of Ginger Creative to make a complete optical set of wedding stationary for our shoot. Sweets and baked goods to share with each other; and hints of glasses, magnify glasses, and even a custom save the date brought the table character and inspiration.

Carrie of Ginger Creative is a stunningly talented stationary artist who designed the incredible optical stationary throughout the shoot. Starting with the save the date, which I conceptualized the entire shoot around – what a fun engagement announcement. Carrie also designed the most beautiful matching wedding invitations (with matching RSVP, direction card, etc)… Did you notice the most beautiful envelope liner with the little red glasses?

Local Cake Artists at Sweet Spot Cupcakes created the most delicious red velvet cupcakes for the shoot, along with the “EYE.HEART.YOU” cookies! These were nestled in a bed of gumballs that were bought by local candy supplier, Papa’s Candy Shop, Who also supplied the vintage Coca Cola bottles as well. And amongst the shoot, you will also notice the mini store bought pies – SO CUTE!

Hair was done by local hair stylist Alora Fennell of La Dolce Vita and Make up was done by Sarah Coyle {Independent Makeup Artist}.
