Elegant Nautical Christening & First Birthday Party
Anchors away! Morgan Bayard of Morgan Bayard Photography captured this elegant Nautical Christening & First Birthday Party, in which all of the pretty details were lovingly made by the guest of honor’s mom. The {super cute} bow-tie bedecked birthday boy had a very big day celebrating both his first birthday and his christening into the Greek Orthodox Church! What a great way to set sail on your future! ;)
PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:
- Gold anchor adorned place cards & ship’s helm stamped place setting bags wrapped in nautical striped twine
- Message in a bottle party souvenirs + a charitable donation made in lieu of traditional party favors
- Elegant green & white floral centerpieces featuring roses, orchids, hydrangea, & blue thistle
- Striped grosgrain invitation wrap + striped bow tie for the birthday boy!
PARTY DETAILS as told by Morgan…
This Greek Orthodox nautical christening was extra special as this little guy’s family not only celebrated him becoming a member of their church, but also celebrated his first birthday! The day started with a beautiful ceremony at the Cathedral of Saint John the Theologian. Guests were then invited to Axia restaurant in Tenafly, New Jersey. There they enjoyed fantastic Greek food and a beautiful cake. I just love the nautical theme of the event! The birthday boys crafty mom made all of the maritime details herself!

Beautiful idea about the charitable donation. I'd like to know what was in the bottles; and what was on the message. thanks.
