NY Event Pics – Sneak Peek
As promised, here are a few snapshots of some of the NY event decor that we took with our own camera before the first party session on Tuesday night. This is just a little peek – the professional shots should cover all the different areas of the party, the entire tablescape, food, cocktails, little details etc… so hopefully those will be in soon! (As soon as I have them, “how-to” details, shopping resources, Chambord cocktail recipes, and all the info that we covered in the party demo will be published as well.)
In the meantime, these shots should give you a general feel for the overall look of the “Modern Parisian” theme, which was brought to life mainly through feathers and damask/scroll print scrapbook papers and overlays, which where applied to most of the vases, used as placemats and napkin rings, etc…
I don’t have a picture of the entire tablescape after it was finished, but here’s an “in progress” before shot so you can see how gigantic this (ultra-cool) table was… even with 12 place settings, there was a ton of space left over in the middle, which is why several vases had to be used to create the centerpiece!
The camera flash + the scroll pattern that was applied to the white vase below created a crazy reflection on the table…
Pictured above: various party invitations by Wedding Paper Divas that compliment the Modern Parisian theme. Pictured below: one of the flower arrangements on the coffee table, accented with black feathers and displayed in a vase adorned with the same scrapbook paper used in the place settings.
That’s it for now…hope you like what you see so far… stay tuned for more!

Can’t wait to see more
Looks awesome, Jenn! How’d you do those huge feather bouquets? I can’t wait to see more…
This looks absolutely GORGEOUS! love everything – especially the paper on the vases!
Thanks again for SUCH a fun evening! We really loved everything – it was so nice to experience it in person. The coordination between the feathers in the decor and the “feather boa” cocktail rimmer was ridiculously perfect! Such yummy food and drinks too – I REALLY want the recipe for that chocolate raspberry one. YUM!
I absolutely love the black, white and yellow. Chic, simple yet stunning!
Love the glam feel to this theme!
I was there! It was fabulous!
I MET JEN!!.. WHAT MORE CAN I SAY!
Everything looks so pretty! Can’t wait to see more – wish I could’ve been there!
Love the feather trees – how FUN!
Jeneration –
The feather bouquets were actually super easy! They’re just made with a floral foam bouquet holder, which is kind of a round shape with a plastic holder attached, ostrich feathers, and an eiffel tower vase.
All you do is insert the feathers into the vase, starting with the longest plumes and working your way up to the shorted ones on top. You just fill in the arrangement until it’s nice and full, then set it on on top of the eiffel tower vase. (the plastic holder part of the foam bouquet holder goes into the vase and keeps it in shape.
I’d say it takes about 10 minutes to create :)
The feather trees are just the coolest – such a fresh take on the usual flower/branch arrangement – I wonder if that would translate to a holiday party? Maybe all white feathers with a red vase? Hmmm…
I love the colors! :) I can’t imagine how beautiful it looked in person.
who is the vendor you used for the feathers?
We used Events Wholesale for the feathers (because we ordered a ton of them)
