PARTY DETAILS, as told by Kerri

My daughter LOVES deer. We have several that frequently show up in our backyard and she loves watching them and gets so excited about it. Naturally, I decided that since she loves them so much, that deer should be the theme of her party, but of course it needed to be girly! I loved the look of modern wood grain and chalkboard so I decided those would be my starting points. But since those are masculine on their own, I added hot pink and light pink and yellow to girly it up. I have my own design business, so I designed all the printables around the color scheme and elements.

I wanted the party to feel mostly modern with a touch of vintage flare. I love the look of faux taxidermy, so the deer head I had custom made from Misfit Menagerie was the perfect centerpiece.

I will have to say that my favorite party detail was the custom cookies from Bambella. There is so much detail and it amazes me at how well these turned out. She’s truly a cookie artist!

I did chalkboard frames as the party favor and even though at first I wanted to stick with the party colors and give the girls pink frames and the boys yellow frames, I ultimately decided to veer away and simply get a frame in their favorite color instead. I think I made the right decision because these were a HUGE hit! My nephew told me he was never going to erase his name and he was going to hang it in his room forever. Bless him!

My little dear, Keniston, had a fabulous time at her party and kept saying “pet the deer” and we would have to let her love on the faux deer head. :)
