One of the best things about blogging is the fun people & new experiences it brings into your life. For example, last month I had a fabulous time hosting an “Inspiration to Celebration” panel at the amazing Pamper Me Fabulous event! The extremely creative ladies on my panel included: Melody Brandon of Sweet and Saucy Shop, Shirley Han of Fresh Events Company, and Jesi Haack of Jesi Haack Design! We had a great time presenting party styling tips & creative inspiration for some of the wonderful women that attended the fun-filled Sunday at the beautiful Terranea Resort.

If you’re not familiar with Pamper Me Fabulous, it’s an event that’s produced by women, created for women, and dedicated to “rewarding and empowering women – mind, body, and spirit”. INSPIRATION TO CELEBRATION

The theme of our panel was “Inspiration to Celebration” and Jesi, Melody, Shirley, and I talked about where we find inspiration for events, how we turn that initial inspiration into a party theme or wedding, and how we keep ideas focused and narrowed down when there’s sometimes TOO much inspiration around.

One common theme that came up for all four of us was personalization… really focusing on tailoring the details of the party or wedding you’re styling to match the unique personality, tastes, and interests of the guest(s) of honor. This really helps to keep things focused when you’re feeling “idea overload” á la pinterest or the blogging world. Jesi {with her signature sense of humor} also shared with us that she always strives to make sure all of the other guests at a client party she’s styled are “super jealous of how cool it looks” – that’s an easy way to tell that she’s done her styling job well. I’m pretty sure her clients would agree. ;)
