Painter & entrepreneur Robin Simon sent over an email this morning to introduce me to Paper Table – a fantastic new paper tableware company that she recently co-founded with graphic designer Sonia Biancalani-Levethan. One look at the images in the email and I was immediately smitten! Can you blame me? Take a peek for yourself…

The story behind the company, as told by Robin & Sonia (sounds good to me!) :
"The idea behind PAPER TABLE is to make setting a beautiful table, easy. We wanted to make a contemporary line of paper tableware that was sophisticated, affordable, and kind to the environment. In short, something we would buy.

Our initial line consists of 26 products that can be mixed and matched, dressed up or used casually. Our place mats are printed on reusable, synthetic paper that is tear proof and waterproof. We love the smooth matte finish of the mats, but we especially appreciate that they are 100% recyclable and tree-free. Our napkins and coasters are disposable paper, printed with water-based inks, no chlorine, and are completely biodegradable."

You can actually create your own virtual table by drag-&-dropping any of the patterns onto an illustrated table complete with 4 place settings. Mix and match patterns, try one pattern as a napkin and one as a place setting, then reverse them…such a fun little tool! Click here to visit the site and start setting your own fabulous table!

What a pretty summery table the floral print would make!
