PARTY DETAILS, as told by Christie…

This party was inspired from the desire to run and play at the first sign of spring with all flowers in bloom and sweet smells in the air. Spring always makes anyone feel like a care-free child again.

The decor had to be reflective of early springtime colors of pinks, lavenders, blues and greens in pastel hues that take over in the flowers, the maypole and and the sweet treats. There was a spirit of whimsy, innocence and carefree fun.

The dessert table was complete with traditional sweets; cake with fabulous cake topper, coordinating toppers for the cupcakes, selection of sugar cookies, chocolates, cake pops, chocolate covered oreo cookies and french macarons. A variety of candies were used as part of the decor to set off the beautiful desserts.

Party guests were sent home with a package of their own wild flower seeds to plant in their gardens with the help of their parents and a jar of sweet chocolates. All the little guests were able to fill a goodie bag of the sweets of their choice.

The guests enjoyed giggling with stories at the table and then off to the Maypole to dance and play.
