PARTY DETAILS, as told by Shannon…
The party was a Lalaloopsy themed birthday party for a 6 year old girl. Her favorite Lalaloopsy doll was Crumbs Sugar Cookie so we took a lot of inspiration from her colors and dress, which included magenta, yellow, polka dots, gingham and pom pom trim. We also incorporated buttons and sewing, as that is what is associated with Lalaloopsy dolls.
It was an afternoon party so snacks were simple, fruit, popcorn and cheddar crackers shaped like buttons. We did a full sweets table that included a 2 tier fondant covered cake, marshmallow pops shaped like spools of thread, chocolate covered Oreos decorated with a matching chocolate transfer sheet, sugar cookies with an edible image, and white chocolate button lollipops. All of the linens were custom and were made by us.
Decor included custom bunting, a jar with balls of matching yarn, and a jar with spools of thread. The drink cart was decorated with bunting and a button covered “M” for the birthday girl. The girls worked on a button art craft project, where they were able to to make a picture on canvas using a huge rainbow of buttons.
Our seamstress made the birthday girl a custom Crumbs Sugar Cookie dress, and she also did appliqued embroidered favor bags for each girl. Inside the favor bags we included a Lalaloopsy coloring book and a custom Crumbs Sugar Cookie inspired beaded necklace.
All of the food, sweets, decorations, and favors were done by Bella Festa.

This party was so well done!! Love it all – every single detail and delicious treat was just perfect!
Where did you find the cheddar buttons?
Hi Lauren, we made the cheddar buttons ourselves. We used mini circle cookie cutters and then pastry tips to cut out the button holes.
Perfect party! Was there a pattern your seamstress used for the dress?
See reply below :)
How did you make the thread spools?
See reply below :)
Our seamstress made the dress on her own, no pattern. She’s very talented!
The thread spools were regular size marshmallows drizzled very carefully with melted chocolate. The wooden spool ends were marbled fondant.
What do you call that circle shape with the ribbon on it??
