Pink Girlie Party Ideas

Stephanie from Couture Parties definitely knows how to throw a good bash, so when the client is “herself” – of course we KNOW it’s going to be amazing! Case in point: check out this fun, sparkly, and downright pink-a-licious party she recently hosted in celebration of the brand new – and super-cute! – space she opened for her {wedding & event planning} business last fall. (Congrats, Stephanie!)

There are tons of wonderful details to share from this party… but one of my favorites has to be the fabulous “dress” fashioned from wedding magazine covers! And then of course there are the cupcakes adorned with “couture handbag” fondant toppers, a sparkly tinsel chandelier, lipstick-and-mirror signage, and playful “cocktail rings” fashioned from metallic silver pipe cleaners and craft rhinestones! All this girlie-fun makes for fabulous bridal shower, bachelorette party, or birthday party inspiration too!

PARTY DETAILS from Stephanie

Working from home for 6 years (Mama & Bambino & Couture Parties) has been a blessing and a challenge all at the same time. Of course I always would daydream about having a studio downtown to meet my clients that could also be a creative annex for me.

One day while walking to a vendor appointment for a new wedding couple, I saw a store front for rent… a very charming, off-the-beaten-path location with great windows for displays! I went to the meeting, called my husband then called the landlord. I was sold. 78 Thames Street in Newport HAD to be mine. So I moved in on October 1st 2010! Since them I have held craft nights & creative workshops (with MANY more classes to come!) and have meet with potential clients and current brides.

I waited for the holidays to be over and wanted to have an opening soiree to invite my friends, family and industry colleagues to see my new creative space. To be honest, this was a difficult party to plan! My business structure thrives on personalization and I never throw a party without it. So this party was about me! (Have you ever planned a party for yourself? not easy.) I tried to incorporate everything I love… From magazines (created a dress out of magazine covers!) to bite-sized “kids menu food”, to large pipe cleaner cocktail rings, to peonies in the flowers arrangements, this party screamed “Stephanie“! It really was amazing to share this night with over 60 people and celebrate my creativity. The support meant so much. ”
