PARTY DETAILS, as told by Miriam

When I found out that my sister was pregnant with a baby girl, Lilyana, I immediately shipped her a box full of Juicy Couture baby dresses and started planning an all pink baby shower!

Throwing my sister’s baby shower bash was so special…my favorite part was seeing her expression the moment she walked in. Lucky for us, surprise photographer Rebekah Meredith was there to capture it all!

We had a popcorn bar themed “Things that Pop” complete with a popcorn cart, popcorn boxes and popcorn toppings. Everything displayed on the popcorn table “popped” — from the marshmallow rice krispy baby rattles and mini champagne bottles, to the gum tape and cake pops (including the huge gold mylar balloon — it was all part of my master plan ;)).

Other shower details included an all pink dessert table with 5 mini cakes (scallop, rosette, heart trim, light pink with gold leaf foil and a popcorn cake to tie in with the popcorn bar). The delicious dessert spread included macarons, meringues, darling onesie and baby bottle-shaped sugar cookies, crown-topped cupcakes and candies that were displayed on the prettiest pink and gold cake stands.

The Mocktails Bar included two signature drinks, “Tickled Pink” Strawberry Lemonade and “Sweet Pea” Raspberry Iced Tea.

Guests had a lot of fun playing games for a chance to win Juicy Couture prizes and loved the pink nail polish favors.

Other details included ombre carnation centerpieces that I arranged myself on gold glitter vases, even the baby food jars were given a gold glitter treatment!

We styled the shower in fuchsia, light pink and white petal taffeta linens that complimented the “Ready to Pop” theme because they looked like bubbles, various sized paper lanterns in shades of pink, pink streamers and tassel garlands, and a handmade popcorn garland that I created to hang above the popcorn bar.
