PARTY DETAILS, as told by Jenny

For my clients 40th birthday, I wanted to create a party that really reflected her life and personality. Jennifer loves all things traditional and feminine, but since working in the fashion district, she has also developed a love for bright bold colors and geometric prints. This party is a mix of both. I found a wooden monogram online and used the same design on the all of the paper goods. The bright color scheme of fuchsia and apricot keeps the party fresh and modern.

Behind the dessert table, I hung a white wooden window which I bought at a salvage yard and restored. In the center of it, I mounted the monogram. The three-tier ombre dot cake was the focal point of the table, which included all things pink and orange- raspberry mousse, cake pops, cheesecake mousse with orange gelee (from Amy Atlas), personalized mini chocolate bars, macarons, mini donuts and homemade marshmallows.

The drink station featured mimosa pops, Jell-O shots and kir royales with rock candy stirrers. Personalized wine and water bottles, pink and orange dot candies, and a photo of the birthday girl and her husband filled the shelves. Guests took home mini champagne bottles that I had glittered (tutorial found here) with a tag thanking them for popping in.
