This party was a small family gathering for my dear friends’ twin boys first birthday. We went with a ‘Two by Two’ Noah’s Ark theme with two twin giraffes as our main image.
She wanted to keep it simple and sweet so I designed the Dol table and the Doljabi game area for her in the living room. She had traditional Korean first birthday favors, which is Korean sweet rice cakes, with a thank you label I designed. The Doljabi game area was displayed on the mantle of the fireplace. The guests were told to deposit their tickets into the containers of their choosing.

This is an adorable theme for a one year old party, not too grown up! It may be fun to have a professional face painter paint the faces of the kids as one of the animals from the ark. Or a petting zoo would be fun and educational. One year olds often can’t comprehend birthday parties but they love the sights and sounds and senses of animals!
