Playful Peach Picking Party {First Birthday}
Jenna made sure her son’s first birthday party was full of creative JUICE! She invited friends & family out to a peach orchard for a playful & gorgeous Peach Picking Party filled with peaches & ice cream, cake, drinks, and peach picking, of course!
PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:
- Wood farm tables with burlap and lace runners
- Orchard picking with little cute baskets followed by ice cream, cake & fresh sliced peaches
- Mason jar centerpieces displaying pretty white hydrangeas
- “Pop’s a Peach” Drink Station {inspired by her son’s nickname}
- Simple chic vanilla-frosted cake topped with a fresh peach!
PARTY DETAILS, as told by Jenna …
My son Jude turned one in August & I knew I wanted to do something pretty low key (second child syndrome) & seasonal to enjoy the outdoors! He somehow adopted the nickname “Pop” over the course of his little life so I came up with the theme for the party “Pop’s a Peach!” Our dear friends own a Peach Orchard so I invited some of our friends & family up for peaches & ice cream, cake, drinks & of course peach picking.
I had two long wood farm tables set up and a couple quilts for babies to sit on. Burlap, lace, vintage mason jars, country music & white flowers added a rustic feel to an already gorgeous setting. My secret to a killer flower arrangement without breaking the bank? Head to Costco and buy a couple arrangements, cut them to your vase & there you go!
I loved having guests pick a peach straight off a tree, cut it up on the table & serve it up with ice cream right there. Doesn’t get any fresher than that! I provided brown paper bags for the guests to go around with their families and pick peaches to take home with them. We ate a delicious chocolate cake & sang to the very excited birthday boy. It was such a perfect evening for my little pop.
