With Springtime in the air, this lovely butterfly themed birthday party will delight with its creative details. Stefanie Richter here, from anna and blue paperie, and I am thrilled to share my first post as a contributor for HWTM! With pretty butterfly silhouettes and a soft color palette, this Playful Purple Butterfly Birthday Party is full of inspiration for baby showers and bridal showers too!

Butterflies in the party’s color scheme were used throughout the party decor and printables (including the cupcake toppers, dessert labels and party favors).  Beautiful ikat patterns were incorporated in the designs to add a pop of color.

The dessert table consisted of a vanilla buttercream cake embellished with white gumballs, cupcakes from Sweet Treets Bakery, butterfly themed cookies from Charlie’s Cakes and Cookies and macarons from La Patisserie by Luxe Sweets that matched the party’s theme perfectly.  I topped white paper straws from InTheClear with butterfly paper silhouettes. Tin canisters were wrapped with matching purple colored paper tied with bows and topped with tissue paper poms.  To tie the look all together, I created the backdrop for the dessert table using butterfly silhouettes made from paper.  The  adorable butterfly shaped soap favors were created by Favor Boutique by Angelique.
