Playful & Stylish Chevron Inspired Bridal Shower

yellow chevron bridal shower decorations and guest libs game

We’re loving the playful, stylish vibe of this fun Yellow Chevron Bridal Shower that Emily and Jeanna created for their cousin Amanda! With the help of some talented Etsy vendors – or ” true crafty’s” as Jeanna calls them – the girls pulled together a wonderfully inviting celebration filled with custom touches designed especially for Amanda – including personalized banners, cocktail napkins, a monogrammed chevron tray, and more! Even the M&Ms featured pictures of the happy couple and their wedding date.

In addition to the fabulous monogrammed pillow handmade by Jeanna’s mother, one of my favorite details has got to be the blueberry lemonade cocktails served in mason jars and garnished with adorable “She said yes!” straws. CHEERS!

PARTY DETAILS, as told by Emily and Jeanna…

From Emily:

My cousin-in-law Jeanna & I (with bunches of help from our moms) threw a bridal shower in honor of my cousin Amanda. Her colors are navy and yellow, so Jeanna went to town on Etsy looking for accents in those colors. To say she scored is an understatement! All the touches lent a sophisticated, fun, warm feel to the day. I can’t decide whether my favorite part was the candy bar (which I dubbed “Mandy’s Candies”) or the delicious blueberry lemonade cocktails (in mason jars with customized straws!).

From Jeanna:

We had a blast pulling this event together, I loved the idea that every detail of the design was custom for Amanda. Emily and I wanted to ensure we had a theme that flowed throughout the day and with great colors like yellow, white and navy we had  it made. The yellow and white chevron invitation was our starting point and when I found 8 yards of matching fabric I knew it would all tie together. I will say I really did invest some time on Etsy to hunt down every detailed touch – it all came together quite nicely with the help of our mothers who also understand the art of throwing a fabulous party.

I am a strong believer that love (and good design) is in the details, but you don’t have to be crafty to pull that off. I will encourage other hostesses that with the help of true “crafty’s” on Etsy you can pull off a homemade, personalized event with the click of a mouse! Don’t be intimidated to spend a couple hours on Etsy to find what may take you days to create – when you don’t have the time, don’t worry, someone can make it exactly how you want it and it will arrive at your doorsteps in days! I have all of my favorite Etsy shops on speed dial for any party I throw – it always impresses guests to add a bit of personalization to any event.

The other piece of bridal shower advice I would say is, focus on what you are good at and know when to leverage the talents of others – I love to pull the design all together, my mom (Gail Beals) loves to sew, Emily Adams is a talented photographer, her mother Dale Wade can cook (amazing) food – so pull in your team and assign the task and the shower planning will be much more seamless!

Wow! Now this is a bridal shower. Amazing! I’d like to know more about how the Guest Libs went down. Did the guests enjoy doing them? Did you read the finished responses aloud or were they saved for the bride-to-be to read after the shower? Thank you in advance. I’m throwing a bridal shower for my cousin and am hoping it’s even half as nice as this one!
