Christine of Pure Joy Events sure knows the way to my heart… with a Pretty Pastel & Chevron Crafting Party! She created it for her daughter’s 9th birthday and I mean, can you really go wrong with glitter, chevron & crafting – It’s all my favorite things! A fun yarn pom station, some bead glam-ifying and an adorable pinwheel birthday cake, this creative celebration is really something sweet. (This is also a great idea for a friendly get together or a fun family day.)

From the moment you walk through the elevator door at Confetti Studio, you can’t help but to feel inspired by the artwork, quilts, and other craft projects. Decorated simply with confetti-filled balloons, this lovely sewing and crafting studio located in the heart of Warrenton, VA was the perfect space to celebrate Caitlyn’s 9th birthday. Upon arrival, the girls began painting and applying glitter to wooden beads for their double-stranded necklaces. While the beads were drying, the girls moved on to the next craft — creating pom pom garlands out of yarn.

Using chevron baking cups and treat bags by Robert Gordon Australia as inspiration, Jayme of Jayme Marie Designs custom designed a modern and girly invitation with a beaded necklace as the focal point.

Local baker, Marisa of Cakes For Mom, made a darling vanilla cake with raspberry ganache filling. Other sweets included raspberry and chocolate cupcakes from Cupcakes Actually; and cherry, cotton candy, and 7-Up flavored Jelly Belly jelly beans. Pink lemonade was served in canning jars with striped paper straws.

For the party favors, each guest received glitter glue, glitter craft paint and confetti glitter from Martha Stewart Crafts packaged in a chevron bag and tied with a handmade pom pom.
