Darling Pretty Pink Kitty Cat Birthday Party
We loved yesterday’s kitty cat party so much, we just had to keep the (yarn) ball rolling with this Darling Pretty Pink Kitty Cat Birthday Party, photographed & styled by Amy Liu Bissett of A Dazzle Day! The girls hopped around in their golden bell necklaces, kitty ears & sweet pink tutus, playing with yarn (like that amazing DIY yarn ball piñata!) & making kitty cat faces out of paper plates (a super cute & simple craft idea). Me-ow! ;)
PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:
- DIY embellished invitation with ric rac & gold cord + hanging ribbon photo booth backdrop
- Yarn ball topped pink birthday cake + a yarn ball ‘3’ door hanger & pink yarn wrapped milk bottles
- Mini tutu place cards & tulle pom chair backs + bright pink tulip centerpieces & hanging tissue poms
- Bell embellished marshmallow pops & striped pink cake pops + cat cookies with mini heart cookie ‘collars’
PARTY DETAILS as told by Amy…
Pink is my daughter’s favorite color and she loves cat so I’ve decided to deliver a pink kitty cat party for when she turned 3. I love designing little girl’s party since it’s like creating dream party for myself. I wish I could have such beautiful parties when I was a little girl. I’ve incorporated many of my favorite elements ~ lace, ribbons, glitters, yarns, fur and tulle. My favorite creation was the #3 sign made with yarn balls, which is a clever idea inspired by yarn ball wreath I found online.
This adorable party package is again custom designed by Tania from Tania’s Design Studio. She’s so talented that she always knows exactly what I want and made everything perfect!
I hope you all will enjoy the party photos as much as the girls enjoy the party!
Food:
- Layered Birthday Cake
- Vanilla Cupcakes
- Carrot Cake Pops
- Sugar Cookies
- Mini Donuts
- Marshmallow Pops
- Pink Lemonade
Crafts & Activities:
- Make a Cat Face: Since most of the guests are 3 year old or younger so I first prepared the cat face with white paper plates and glued a wood stick on it. They had the fun to draw the kitty’s face and decorated it.
- Candy Necklace: I love this idea! I have seen this on many blogs and sites and I have recreated this with loop candy I found at local stores and cut up pink ribbons as the necklace. The girls love it!
- Piñata: I made this yarn ball pinata with a store bought soccer pinata. I took the black parts off and wrapped it around with pink yarn and decorated with golden hearts.
Diy Project:
- Yarn ball piñata
- Felt heart shaped hair clip
- Photo booth decoration
- Kitty cat sugar cookies
- Cake pops
- Fur favor bag
- Birthday cake and cupcakes
- #3 yarn ball sign (sign at door)
- Thumb print canvas
- Birthday cone hat
Favors
I designed and handmade these pink fur favor bags for all the kitties. The golden chains complete the elegant look. Then they get to fill it with all the goodies – lip balm, hair clip, pencil, notebook, bubbles, chocolate bar and lollipop!
