Pink Lemonade Birthday Party

Pucker up for some PINK LEMONADE party perfection! This adorably refreshing party was sumbitted by Honey of Honeydew Events.  A darling theme like this could be used for any occasion – from birthday parties to baby showers – and is also a fabulous way to say “Hello” OR “So Long!” to summer. How could you possibly go wrong with with the sweetness of all of these lemony details?

I am especially crushing on the colorful, freshly squeezed favors!  Read on for details on how to create these for your very own party…

PARTY DETAILS, as told by Honey

” A pink lemonade theme for the summertime… starring pink and yellow lemonade in punch dispensers and lemon and vanilla birthday cake!  The girls are dressed in frocks from LolahPOP! Vintage Baby on Etsy and the photos are by Audra Wrisley Photography based out of D.C.  Honeydew Events is responsible for all party styling, favors and baking.

The candy cup party favors are glasses with screen-printed lemons found at the Dollar Tree (dollar store).  They are stuffed with pink tissue paper and filled with a combination of yellow lemonheads and chewy lemonheads (also purchased at the Dollar Tree).  They are sealed with scrap fabrics that were glued to wax paper (using spray adhesive) to give the fabric some stiffness, placed on top of the glass, then colored rick rack was glued around the rim with hot glue, that way the lid came off the glass rather easily.

The table display was set up on a white farmhouse style table, and featured a vintage color scheme.  I wanted to include pops of red, so the red metal silverware holder and red & white striped straws really stood out.  Punch dispensers were filled with both pink and yellow lemonade.  The banner on the front of the table was made by Shannon Wilson with LolahPOP! Vintage baby on Etsy, as were the clothes the girls were wearing.  Glass bottled beverages were placed in white metal bins, and the bins were also used for ice.

The vintage brown round table the cake is sitting on is something I have had that my grandmother salvaged from her basement many years ago.  The cake was lemon with vanilla icing. I made all the baked goods and designed  lemon pink lemon toppers for the cupcakes.

I think this theme works well for both kids birthdays or outdoor summertime family parties!”

The candy cup party favors are great! I love that the glass can be reused and is a nice little keepsake from the party. The colored candy inside looks delicious in the lemon themed glass.
