Raspberry, Green & Damask Dessert Buffet
Jasmine from The Couture Cakery recently sent over some images of the absolutely fabulous dessert buffet that she created for JDK Weddings.
I’m especially loving the contemporary rasberry & lime green color palette – which really pops against the black and white damask print…and how gorgeous is this cake?!
Read on for lots more images & all the sweet details, as told by Jasmine…
“I was invited by The JDK Group to do a presentation on my business The Couture Cakery. The JDK Group is the areas premier caterer and also has an amazing event rental subsidiary called Essential Party Rentals and has just launched a wedding coordination service, called Weddings by JDK.
This was the perfect chance for me to channel the mega-talented Amy Atlas. I wanted to do something amazing to showcase not only my cake and cupcake designs, but also my love for dessert table design.
I used the colors from their logo for inspiration. The contrast of the black damask print with the raspberry and apple green colors were perfect.
In addition to the wedding cake design, I also created gourmet cupcakes which included dark chocolate cupcakes filled with chocolate ganache and topped with Oreo, raspberry Chambord, and peanut butter buttercream frostings.
Other selections included Lemon Drop (white cake filled with fresh lemon curd and topped with vanilla buttercream frosting), red velvet with honey cream cheese frosting, mini carrot cake cupcakes with honey cream cheese frosting and mini Nutty Monkey cupcakes (banana cupcake with peanut butter buttercream frosting).
I also designed custom wrappers for Hershey bars and Hershey Nuggets and made my favorite French Macaroon cookies (so yummy!), plus marshmallow pops dipped in white chocolate.
I love working with amazingly talented people and my friend Kim who owns Edible Art created the beautiful dress and logo cookies. In addition, Kim who owns Sweeties made her beautiful white chocolate dipped Oreos with a designer print.
The incredible photos were taken by Thomas Beaman, who is a fantastic wedding, portrait and event photographer. I appreciate him taking the time to make the photos so artful. It’s great sharing a studio space with someone so gifted.
Amazing work comes together when you collaborate with talented, hard-working and creative people. I’m so excited about what the future brings.
Did I mention that you I love what I do. :-)”

The only place that I know of to purchase acrylic risers like this is here:
https://www.ccpdisplays.com/
They’re pricey though!
FYI – Here’s another gorgeous party where they were utilized:

My mouth is salivating over the gourmet cupcakes. Everything looks so beautiful and so perfect. And it’s fantastic that you were able to work with a professional photographer and your friend, Kim, from Edible Art.

Another beautiful dessert table! The cake is stunning; I love the trend of black and white damask. It’s the perfect combination of “something old” meets “something new” to update a classic pattern with a graphic, modern feel. All of the details in the tiny treats and embellishments are stunning!
Beautiful! I give a champagne and dessert party every Christmas and you have given me some new ideas! Love the acrylic stands by the way!
