REAL PARTIES: Gothic Glam Halloween Dinner Party

HWTM Reader Angela Hudson recently sent over some images of the Gothic Glam table that she created for her Halloween dinner party tomorrow night, and check out how cool it turned out!

I asked Angela to share some details with us regarding how everything came together, so here are some shopping resources & “how-to” tips in her own words…
Glitter skulls: (from Marshall’s) The skulls are sitting on silver pillar candleholders to which I hot-glued about 6” of a feather boa. I liked that the candleholders gave the skulls a little height.
Five-arm candelabra: (from Grandin Road) I embellished the candelabra with crystal drops from an old silver-plated candelabra.

Gothic figurines for place cards: (from Michael’s) I loved the way these once-gray figurines looked once they were spray painted with metallic silver and glitter spray paints!
Place cards: I added a little sparkle to plain white place cards by dipping the edges in glue and then in orange glitter.

Napkin rings: These are strips cut from orange glitter foam sheets found at Michael’s. They’re embellished with stick-on gems and held in place with Zots adhesive dots.
Black glitter spiders: (from Z Gallerie) These were already a bit sparkly, but I couldn’t resist spraying them with additional silver glitter.

Charger Plates: (from Hobby Lobby) For these, I used 12″ square mirrors and spray painted them with black and glitter spray paints before embellishing the corners with stick-on gems.
Black scroll salad plates: (from Kohl’s)

Menu Frame: (from Marshall’s) This was a white cottage-style frame turned gothic with black and glitter spray paints and embellished with stick-on gems.
Feathered accents: I wanted to add a little height to the salad plates. So beneath them I used clear salad plates turned upside down. I hot-glued 10″ pieces of black boas around the clear plates.
Glitter votive candleholders: (from Michael’s)

Thanks for the fabulous Halloween inspiration, Angela!

That’s my girl! It looks totally fab, Angela! I love how you took obtainable and store bought items and embellished them in your usual creative style and made everything pop! And I agree with the pp, the pictures are fantastic!
This is officially my muse. This is spectacular. I would almost do this if it weren’t halloween. For my party I was thinking about black roses and spiderwebs and candles and elegance and this just… this is the kind of look that I really want to achieve. I love the glitter skulls. I love glitter! Sis-in-law hates glitter. Too bad for her. :D
This is so trippy. i’d totally use this stuff
Where did you get those AWESOME goblets?? I can’t find them anywhere!!
@ Kayla … I got them at Hobby Lobby I think. It was last year. You should also try Walmart, also here are some I found at Target: https://www.target.com/Black-Drinkware-Dining-Home/b/ref=sc_iw_r_2_1/186-9774605-1554918?node=332146011. Hope that helps.
