REAL PARTIES: LAKERS Birthday Party
Photographer Caroline Tran recently sent over these gorgeous images that she shot of a fabulous LA Lakers-themed 40th Birthday Party designed by the talented Carolyn Chen of The Special Day (whom you might remember from this stunning Gossip Girl-Inspired Bridal Shower).
Party overview from Caroline: “The birthday boy is a HUGE LAKERS FAN!! The entire color scheme was purple and gold, with suspended ornaments over the dinner table, purple & gold flowers, purple & gold linens, a basketball cake, digital scoreboard looking menus… not a detail was missed.
Appetizers were served in cute little spoons and dinner was a 5 course tasting menu that included a beautiful presentation of quail breast on puff pastry. The Photobooth images also printed out in a creative way that coordinated with the theme.”
With the Lakers in the NBA Finals right now, this theme is especially timely… but Lakers fan or not, there’s no denying that those renown purple & gold jerseys inspired a truly stunning celebration for this milestone birthday!

he’s a huge lakers fan! though i would probably try to make it a little more sports themed/ masculine.

Hi! You might already be aware, but the RSS feed isn’t working. The last post that came through was May 6th. I tried signing up again, but the same post is the last one to show up. I miss my daily htwm!
My grandson will turn the BIG ONE year on April 24, 2011. Celebration for this day will be the ending of April. His theme that my daughter & my son in law would like to have is LA LAKERS! They are big fans & have made up their mind that their sons big day will be LA LAKERS :) Where can I find “LA LAKERS” decorations or how can you help me make this happen? They live in Alaska, I live in Hawaii… Thank you –
