“Oh How Tweet” Baby Shower {Part 1}
So… I don’t think it’s possible to create a party that gets much more beautiful than this gorgeous “Oh How Tweet!” baby shower hosted in honor of Suzanne Johnson and her new baby twins, do you?!
This party looks like it stepped right off the pages of an Anthropologie catalog… such a fresh, chic vibe that’s overflowing with creative details. I’m thinking there’s also some fabulous inspiration for Easter parties and spring weddings or bridal showers to be discovered here too!
Because there are soooo many details and images to share, I’m going to break this feature into 2 parts. Tabletop & decor elements are featured here in Part 1, and Part 2 will cover everything else (invitations, menu, favors, and more).
Read on for LOTS of pretty pics and party details, as told by Suzanne…
“The day that my twin babies were showered with love and well wishes was a day that dreams are made of. It was a celebration of life, of love, of family, and of friendship and one that I will always hold close to my heart.
My amazing friends and sister who hosted the event were so thoughtful in allowing me to be a part of the creative process, which made the occasion even that much more special to me.
We merged my love for birdies, feathers and frills into a “woodland chic” motif that was suitable for celebrating both a baby girl and baby boy.
The amazingly talented Jeanna Hayes photographed the event and did a wonderful job capturing all of the beautiful details, clever DIY projects, and special touches. Some of my favorite design elements* included…
• the hand crafted wreaths that hung on the front doors
• the most gorgeously designed table tops that I’ve ever seen, complete with beautiful linens, fabric table runners with a beaded trim (made with fabric from the Heather Bailey collection), wild branches that were gathered from nature with tiny blooms glued onto them, hand cut slices of wood that had small arrangements placed atop, crystal pedestal stands which had a tiny nest, a fresh garden rose, and feathers in each one
• handmade fabric napkin rings and the beyond adorable place cards that were crafted by using small peat cups, moss, Jelly Bellies, and wood paper for each name to be written on
My hostesses also presented me with a special nest necklace with 2 tiny pearl eggs in it to wear that evening! That sentimental touch was just over the top! (necklace can be found in this Etsy store)
This was such an incredible baby shower and so much thought and love went into celebrating such a special time in my life. As Oprah would say…love was truly in the details!”
*(Note… many more of Suzanne’s favorite elements will be featured in Part 2, which will be posted tomorrow!)

This is just lovely! I agree with Tori, the jewelry gift for mom-to-be was so thoughtful! This would translate to a bridal shower or birthday party quite well! Thanks for sharing!
So Beautiful!
Love the touch of giving the mom-to-be such appropriate jewellery! What a wonderful keepsake and so pretty too!
How amazingly beautiful. Elegant and sweet.
This is darling! I wish I knew someone who was expecting right now!!!
I love it – I think it would be perfect for the mother to be who spends too much time on “twitter!”
My wife Angela is amazing!!! I still can’t believe how she can take some random items from random stores and make a masterpiece. The only thing I can do well is mow the lawn. When she told me all of the ideas she had for the baby shower my initial thought was,”aren’t the women suppose to sit in a circle wearing sweatpants and no makeup and say AHHHHH alot?” -This is a guy’s understanding of baby showers.
Wow. This is amazing!

So very beautiful. I absolutely love it. I wish you would share how to make the wreaths with the birds,,
Absolutly the most gorgeous shower I’ve ever seen!
The only event that could have possibly topped this one involving this amazingly talented family would have to be Suzanne’s sister Angela’s wedding. If you liked the shower, you would not BELIEVE what these girls do for a wedding!
Congrats on being featured on this fabulous site!
This is one of my most favorite showers of.all.time. Thanks so much for sharing!

This is a great idea for a baby shower! I love the place card holder idea and the colorful chair bows. These Birds and Branches Baby Shower Invitations from So Sweet Stationery would be the perfect addition to this adorable baby shower theme
