REAL PARTIES: Pink Lotus Lounge

lilygirl jewelry - backyard lounge party

These fun pics are from a “Pink Lotus Lounge” backyard party that was hosted by sisters & designers Lori Roark and Denise Haynes-Port. This party was held in celebration of a milestone anniversary for their artful, handmade jewelry line: LilyGirl, but it also serves as great inspiration for all sorts of special occasions that you might be hosting too – from summer cocktail parties to bridal showers!

LilyGirl has been a fun excuse for women (in the Southern California area) to gather for house parties for 5 years, so – given the special meaning behind this particular gathering – it was their biggest bash yet!  Lori’s Cardiff by the Sea home was brimming with their newest spring collections, original signature wire designs and their signature “Jewelry Bar” (a local favorite!).

The backyard conversion was inspired by their love of pink, orange and natural elements. IKEA finds include the banana leaf rockers and ottoman’s, white tab-topped curtains, the rag rugs and bright candles.

The ivory patterned sheers (below, left) and vibrant curtain panel with lotus designs (embellished with crystals for extra jewelry-like glam) were both purchased at Pier 1 Imports.

Toss pillows from Cost Plus World Market, continued the pink lotus look!

The center of the lounge featured a candle pit where glass pebbles, and a colorful mix of candles gave a pink glow and warm light.

A gallery of original LilyGirl jewelry photos adorned one of the walls (lit by hanging lanterns from Z Gallerie and HomeGoods).

Guests of the party enjoyed incredible deals, totally unique jewelry displays throughout the house and Pink Lily’s – their signature cocktail of champagne, grapefruit juice, cranberry & a raspberry!

There were also lots of fun details like custom-printed food descriptions and the use of cute glitter flower stickers (purchased at Michaels) as “drink distinguishers”.

Lori made mini white butterfly cupcakes in gold foil liners to further the pretty spring party vibe. The crab-stuffed mushroom appetizers were gone in a second, one of Montana’s most requested yum.  Everything was served on brightly colored platters and trays.

Guests took home gift bags with personal touches and goodies from LilyGirl’s favored local stores,
Brow Lounge of La Jolla, Detour Salon in downtown Encinitas, It’s a Luv Thing Boutique in Leucadia.

All in all, it was such a special, creative atmosphere that made for a great party! And after much insistence from Lori’s friends, most of the décor will be left in place …summertime cocktails in the lounge, hello! =)

    OMG….how amazing is this decor!?!?!

This would be an amazing setup for my bride’s poolside, cocktail hour at her Moroccan themed wedding. Take a look at a few pictures of the invitation and related enclosures http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=20975&id=1544085142&saved#/photo.php?pid=317224&id=1544085142

What charming jewelry & the backyeard conversaions is great! Ths would work well for my backyard since we don’t have a great view. Not sure I’d want to curtain off the view and light if I had a ‘home by the sea.’ Beautiful nonetheless!

Love the Mid East accents. We lived in Dubai and Lebanon and i can’t get enough of their culture. So fabulous AND budget conscious. Can’t get any better.
